Advent in the Courtyards, Quedlinburg
Advent in den Höfen
28 November – 13 December 2026
Source: Quedlinburg Tourismus · read 2 November
Not a daily market. The town’s tourism pages publish three weekends in 2026, in more than 20 historic courtyards.
The season
Open on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, and Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December 2026. Daily hours were not in the date list we read.
Closed on weekdays, and closed after 13 December. The end date above is the last published Sunday, not a daily run.
What to notice
- The tourism page says more than 20 courtyards take part, with food and craft.
- If your dates are a Wednesday, this event does not exist that day.
What to eat and drink
Unless a sentence names its source, these are specialities associated with the city, not a confirmed menu for 2026. Stall lists change every season.
- The page promises culinary stalls in the courtyards without naming dishes. Harz towns lean on sausages and Glühwein; that is context, not a menu.
Planning notes
- Book the room before you book the train. Quedlinburg is small, and these three weekends are the point of the season.
- Wear shoes you can walk in. Courtyards mean cobbles, steps and uneven entries.
Getting there
Trains to Quedlinburg, then a walk of about 15 minutes into the old town. Check the connection; it is not a high-speed station.
When to go
Sunday 6 December, if you want the middle weekend and a slightly quieter morning than Saturday.
