Montreux Noël
20 November – 24 December 2026
Source: montreuxnoel.com · read 2 November
The lakeside market. montreuxnoel.com publishes 20 November to 24 December 2026, with separate hours for stalls and restaurants.
The season
Stall hours on the organiser’s table: Monday–Wednesday 11:00–21:00, Thursday and Friday 11:00–22:00, Saturday 10:00–22:00, Sunday 10:00–20:00, and 24 December 11:00–17:00. Restaurants run later on ordinary days (to 23:00) and also close at 17:00 on 24 December. Takeaway food and drink, the page says, stops an hour after the stalls.
What to notice
- The setting is the lake and the mountains, which is the point of choosing Montreux over Basel.
- Christmas Eve is a short day: stalls 11:00–17:00.
What to eat and drink
Unless a sentence names its source, these are specialities associated with the city, not a confirmed menu for 2026. Stall lists change every season.
- The hours page separates restaurants from the stalls and does not name dishes. Fondue and vin chaud are the regional expectation.
Planning notes
- Read the two columns on the hours page. A restaurant being open is not the same as a chalet being open.
- The last Saturday will be the busiest. Sunday closes at 20:00.
Getting there
Montreux station is on the lake, a short walk from the centre. Trains from Geneva and Lausanne are ordinary; Zurich is a longer ride.
When to go
A clear weekday afternoon, for the light on the lake, not for the fairground.
