A weekend market in the half-timbered Eifel town. The municipal tourism page lists four weekends in 2026, and the hours.

The season

Fridays and Saturdays 11:00–21:00, Sundays 11:00–20:00, on the weekends of 27–29 November, 4–6 December, 11–13 December and 18–20 December 2026.

Closed Monday to Thursday, and closed outside those four weekends. The end date is the last Sunday, not a daily market.

What to notice

• The town page describes timber houses, Printen, Glühwein and the streets themselves as the atmosphere.
• It is a poor place to arrive on a Tuesday. The page is unambiguous about weekends.

What to eat and drink

Unless a sentence names its source, these are specialities associated with the city, not a confirmed menu for 2026. Stall lists change every season.

• Printen and Glühwein are named by the town. Printen are an Aachen biscuit as well; Monschau is close enough that you will see them.

Planning notes

• Park where the town tells you to. The centre is small and the weekends are the busy ones by design.
• Sunday closes at 20:00. The last bus may be earlier than the stalls.

Getting there

Monschau is a bus or a drive from Aachen. There is no mainline station in the centre. Check the return before you stay for the evening.

Sunday 29 November, the first weekend, before December’s habit of arriving all at once.
