The season

Weekdays 10:00–20:30, Sundays 11:30–19:30. Opening day, 19 November, 14:00–20:30. The page begins a separate note for 23 December; read it for that day’s close rather than assuming the weekday hours.

What to notice

• The organiser’s site says there are more than 140 stalls in 2026.
• Freiburg opens earlier than most of Baden, and it observes the Remembrance Sunday closure.

Planning notes

• The Bächle, the street runnels, are easy to step in after dark. Watch your feet.

Getting there

Freiburg Hauptbahnhof, then tram to Stadttheater or Martinstor. The old town is walkable from there.
